How to I take care of my collar?

To take care of your PVC/BIOTHANE collar, we recommend following these steps:

1. Take a cloth and dampen it with warm water.
2. Gently wipe over the collar to remove any dirt or debris.
3. If there are any stubborn stains, you can use a mild soap or detergent diluted in water to spot clean the affected area.
4. Rinse the collar thoroughly with clean water to remove any soap residue.
5. Pat dry the collar with a clean towel or let it air dry naturally.
6. Avoid using harsh chemicals, bleach, or abrasive cleaners as they can damage the collar's material.
7. Store the collar in a cool, dry place when not in use to prevent any damage or discoloration.

By following these care instructions, you can help maintain the quality and appearance of your collar for a longer period of time.

For your LEATHER collar,

we recommend conditioning them with a leather conditioner. Leather conditioner helps to keep the leather soft, supple, and moisturized, preventing it from drying out and cracking. Here's how you can condition your leather collar:

1. Clean the collar: Before conditioning, make sure the collar is clean and free from any dirt or debris. You can use a damp cloth to wipe it down.

2. Apply leather conditioner: Take a small amount of leather conditioner and apply it to a clean, soft cloth. Gently rub the conditioner onto the leather collar, making sure to cover the entire surface. Pay extra attention to any areas that may be prone to dryness or cracking.

3. Allow absorption: Let the leather conditioner sit on the collar for a few minutes to allow it to be absorbed into the leather. This will help nourish and moisturize the leather fibers.

4. Wipe off excess: After the conditioner has been absorbed, use a clean cloth to wipe off any excess conditioner. This will prevent the collar from feeling greasy or sticky.

5. Let it dry: Allow the collar to air dry completely before using or storing it. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight or heat sources, as this can cause the leather to become brittle.

6. Repeat as needed: Depending on the condition of the leather and how frequently the collar is used, you may need to condition it every few months or as recommended by the leather conditioner manufacturer.

By regularly conditioning your leather collar, you can help prolong its lifespan and maintain its appearance and durability.

What information should I include on my pets ID tag?

Here are some common pieces of information to consider including on your pet's ID tag:

1. Pet's name: Including your pet's name can help establish a personal connection and make it easier for someone to approach and handle your pet if they are lost.

2. Owner's name: Including your name can help establish ownership and make it easier for someone to contact you if they find your pet.

3. Phone number: Including a current and easily reachable phone number is crucial. This allows anyone who finds your pet to contact you immediately and facilitate a quick reunion.

4. Address: Some pet owners choose to include their address on the ID tag, especially if they have a secure and easily identifiable home. However, keep in mind that including your full address may not be necessary and could potentially compromise your privacy.

5. Microchip information: If your pet is microchipped, it can be helpful to include a note on the ID tag indicating this. This can prompt someone who finds your pet to take them to a local vet or shelter to have the microchip scanned for identification.

6. Medical information: If your pet has any specific medical conditions or requires medication, you may want to consider including this information on the ID tag. This can be especially important in case your pet gets lost and requires immediate medical attention.

Remember to regularly check and update your pet's ID tag information, especially if there are any changes to your contact details or your pet's medical condition.
